Atletico Madrid claim Sergio Aguero will not be sold
Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has revealed that Sergio Aguero's future at the club is secure and he will not be sold in the summer.
Spanish and Italian reports have linked the 22-year-old striker with both Real Madrid, and Juventus.
The Bernabeu giants are reportedly keen on Aguero who has scored 17 goals in La Liga this term.
His deal at the Vicente Calderon expires in 2014, and just last week the Argentine said he wanted to remain at the club.
And following increasing speculation, Marin has suggested 'El Kun' will not be sold.
"We will not negotiate with anyone for Aguero. He is not for sale," he told El Mundo Deportivo.
However, despite having made clear the club would not negotiate any deal, Aguero has a reported €45 million release clause which was inserted into his contract back in January when the striker agreed new terms.
If this clause is met, the capital side would be contractually bound to allow him to negotiate with the bidding club.
Atleti are in fifth place and will play Mallorca on Saturday as they look to clinch a Europa League spot.
